inside clearblue digital pregnancy test

not pregnant' on clear blue digital but three lines inside?
not pregnant' on clear blue digital but three lines inside?
How does the inside look like a clear digital test? Kierstin is a mother to two girls and hosts the satirical podcast very good advice for new mothers. Disclaimer Although for experimental reasons it is fun to open digital pregnancy tests and look inside, understand that digital testing is not intended to be interpreted or used in any way, apart from how the addresses of the manufacturers tell you. Samuel Zeller at Unsplash When I was trying to get pregnant, I did almost anything to confirm that I was pregnant, including cutting negative pregnancy tests to get a better look - something that is basically frowned upon by all everywhere, especially BabyCenter (Seriously, don't do this and then tell moms at BabyCenter because they'll read you the riot act). I thought if I could get a closer and more personal look, then my suspicions would be confirmed. In fact, the only thing that looked at a strip of confirmed naked pregnancies for me is that I was really desperate to get an even clearer answer, one in which I could simply read the words "Pregnancy" or "No Pregnancy" instead of deciphering blurred lines, I turned my wallet backwards and bombed for digital testing. You're here because, like me, you still don't trust those words, whatever you have, so you already have or are thinking about opening that dense plastic and peeling the moisture test strip. I'm obliged to say you shouldn't do this. But why shouldn't you open a digital pregnancy test if the inner strip is basically the same as a non-digital pregnancy test? Because the strip inside a digital pregnancy test is actually NOT the same as the strip inside the non-digitals. The difference, in so many words, is that the digital test strip is meant to be interpreted by the sensors in the test and the test strip inside the non-digital test is meant to be interpreted by their eyes. Here is the specific type of Clearblue digital used in this experiment. Kierstin Gunsberg Well, you're still here. I had to give you a fair warning, but if you're still extra curious about what happens inside a digital test, here's the rest of my story: Now, in my days of digital experimentation I would quickly start Googling, "What positive digital aspect Clearblue on the inside when it says No Pregnancy?" and I never got what I wanted was to see clearly how a negative digital was confirmed inside and how it looked like a positive digital inside and compare the second one. Most of what arose, though it would be a forum with like 2975483 publications of "I don't know, you can be! So many of the hunters and babies must XOXO!!111" and "WTF you're GOING 2 HELL DO NOT HEAR THIS AGAINST IDIAT"It was impossible to figure out between the photos that showed a test from a pregnant woman of a test that came from a woman who turned out to be not pregnant. I need more clairvoyance and you too! I'm a confirmed, unfavouring lady and my good friend is an absolutely confirmed lady to secure-gonna-have-a-baby-pregnant. To help you, we both pissed on a stick, broke them and took some photos. First of all, if you haven't taken your digital test, you have to. Taking the TestYour test should look like this new packaging output. If you have anything to show on the screen it's already defective. Kierstin Gunsberg Tips to Take a Clearblue Smart Countdown If you are taking a particular type of test for the first time, it is important to read through the directions that came with it before starting the test, just to make sure you understand how to complete each step as the steps vary depending on the brand. Fortunately, the digital Clearblue is quite simple, but here are some tips to ensure that everything goes smoothly: Here is the smart countdown in action. Remember it may take up to three minutes to develop your results. Kierstin GunsbergTake the Test ApartWhat you will need To dismantle your test, you will need: Here is the opposite end of the test area, where you will gently insert one of the tweezer tweezers. Kierstin Gunsberg How to Remove a Clear Pregnancy Test If you have not opened your test anymore to see what's inside here is how to do it: Here's the inside of a Clearblue Digital with Smart CountdownKierstin Gunsberg Most digital pregnancy tests will always show at least one second vague line. Most digital pregnancy tests will always show at least one second vague line. Now that you're looking at the inner test strip, you're probably writing and analyzing the same as you with a regular test at half the price. Great. Only this time, the results are probably even more ambiguous since most digital pregnancy tests will always show at least one second line vague. But why do digital tests show a second line even when they say "not pregnant"? I can't say for sure, I'm not a HPT manufacturer and I'm not even a real scientist. As far as I have read, and by my own hypothesis, there are probably two reasons: Again, I cannot tell you safely, but what I can do is show you my (negative) results and then show you my friends (positives) results to give you an idea of how that line is defined really needs to be interpreted as positive. PositiveHow does the inside look like a clear positive digital pregnancy test? Tell the music to suspense. So how is the inside of a positive test? Thanks to my friend I can show you: A good digital Clearblue test. Kierstin GunsbergPositive Clearblue Digital test band with two lines. Kierstin Gunsberg As you can see, that test line is unmistakably positive. If your test says "non-pregnant" but the inside of your test looks as bold and bright as the previous one then you would put it to your OB. It should be noted that when she took this test, my friend was confirmed by ultrasound to be in her first quarter so at the time she was definitely beyond most people who would take a digital for the first time that cycle. In fact, that test line is darker than control. But what this shows us is that when a digital strip is positive, there is no doubt. Negative Negative Clearblue Test. Kierstin GunsbergSee "not pregnant" is really frustrating when you feel like you are. How does the inside of a negative test of Clearblue look? Now inside a negative digital. I took this test when I had one or two days since the beginning of my next cycle, so in theory, if I had been pregnant I would have been very early but still close enough to my expiration date of the period so that I would probably get a positive result. Negative Clearblue Digital test band with super weak second line. Kierstin Gunsberg As you can see, this test looks a lot, very different from my friend's clear positive. Still, if you win, if you really want me to be there, there's a vaga (vaga) test line with a little blue. I didn't mean to say that I was pregnant (I'm not), so what do two lines in a Clearblue digital test that says "No Pregnant" means? It means that the blue dye tests are notoriously confusing compared to the pink dye tests and only because this is digital, that does not remove the fact that underneath the dye is still that difficult and difficult blue thing you can't trust unless it's blazing. While some internet detectives claim that Clearblue digitals test luteal hormones along with hCG, the Clearblue official site only claims to test the presence of hCG that is present during pregnancy. So I think it's safe to assume that if there's a second weak line within your digital blue color and the test is saying "not pregnant" you need to trust it. What if I don't trust it? If you still don't trust it to stay for 48 hours before you try again, and in that way, if you're pregnant, your body has had more time to accumulate pregnancy hormones. These regular tests take less hormone to give you a positive result so they are more accurate for early testing. And of course, if your period is late and your HPTs are constantly negative, it's time to call your doctor and ask for professional advice. How common are false negatives in Clearblue Digitals? Related issues Can you get a fake negative on a digital? Yes, you can get a false negative in a digital test, although the chances of it are less and less the later ones that are for your cycle. As explained above, digital tests usually test for more of the pregnancy hormone than traditional HPTs, so in theory, if you test before your period is due then there is a possibility that your test reads "not pregnant" when you are actually pregnant, but there is not enough hormone to confirm it in a digital. Can you get a fake positive in a digital? Although there are accounts of it all over the Internet, you have to be skeptical about the claims of a false positive in a digital test. Digital tests usually test more of the pregnancy hormone than traditional HPTs. This is to avoid confusion and to be able to know for sure that you are pregnant with truths. But what if one test appears positive while another appears negative or you get your period? The most common explanation for this is a chemical pregnancy, a miscarriage that occurs early in pregnancy. Can you reuse a digital pregnancy test? No, and that's why, when you do a pregnancy test, you're basically putting a small chemical reaction with your urine. Once the chemical reaction has been completed, giving it a positive or negative result, it cannot be reproduced as chemicals would have to be returned to their original starting points to give it a precise result. You have to use a fresh test every time you take one to get a true result. What if you feel pregnant but the digital says "No Pregnant"? "You could be pregnant even if a digital test says you're not. This is because digital tests take more of the pregnancy hormone (HCG) to turn positive than a traditional pregnancy test. If you are super early in your pregnancy and very in tune with you, you can know that you are pregnant before the digital does. If this is the case, take a regular pink pregnancy test and try that instead. What is the small pill within a pregnancy test, in fact? Answer: The small tablet or the "thing similar to that of the pills" within pregnancy tests is very likely that a moisture absorber - much like the small DO NOT EAT gel packets that pulls after buying a new bag or pair of shoes. These dampers ensure that the test is kept for as long as possible and is not compromised by, for example, a steamy bath or wet delivery truck before it is ready to use it really. The rumor of Plan B is totally dumb. A single pill costs about $50. If they only hid them in $12 pregnancy tests that would be pretty crazy. Question: Are Clearblue Digital Pregnancy Tests Reusable? Answer: In a Word: No. That's why: When you take a pregnancy test at home, your urine causes a chemical reaction to give you results. If you take a test one morning, put it in your drawer and then urinate it three days later, the chemicals that were activated the first time can not regroup, return to their proper places and then re-act the new urine and give you a precise result. That first urine has already caused chemicals to have their reaction, so you need to use a fresh and unused test every time you take one. The same rules apply to Clearblue digital and all other digital pregnancy tests for this matter. Although digital tests have the added component of sensors reading the urine, they are still made to read only one urine sample once, and any additional test after that would simply not give you reliable results. A myth that is floating around the Internet is that you can retake a pregnancy test once it is completely dried up because then the urine can reabsorb through the test strip. That's not true! While the urine probably reabsorbs and travel back through the test as it did the first time around, it will not give you an exact result because, again, the chemicals have already had their reaction, and they are no longer able to activate from the cool state in which they were when you first triggered that test. To make sure you get an accurate result the first time you take a digital test, make sure you are taking the test at the right time, the right way. Read the instructions in the box before taking it. In general, when you are using a digital, you should make sure you have a clean and dry cup to take your first step of the day. Then, dip the urine test instead of urinating directly into the test to ensure that the test strip is exposed to urine for the correct amount of time and prevent it from humiliating the digital face of the test. You should also take a digital test just before or after your lost period as these tests are not as sensitive as traditional HPTs and need more of the "hCG" pregnancy hormone (which will be more than the longest you are) to turn positive. Question: Today I have taken a clear blue digital exam and have a "non-pregnant" result. I opened the test to find 2 quite obvious lines! I'm not getting my hopes, but what do you think? Answer: I have seen cases where both lines within the digital were very clear, but it turned out negative. When the person tested a few days later, the test turned positive because the hormones eventually had enough time to accumulate, allowing the test to be positive. If I were you, I'd take another test now. If this also turns negative, I'd keep the evidence back unless your period is late. Question: I removed the Clear Blue test and opened it and has a weak line. Can I be pregnant even if I say "not pregnant"? Answer: The digital result of the "non-pregnant" test may be accurate. Unfortunately, all blue dye tests, including digital ones, can end up with a very weak second line that could be tempted to interpret as a positive result. If you don't trust this test, I would take a pink dye test (I like the first response from the early response) and take that. These regular tests are much more sensitive than the digital ones, so in the chance that this weak line means you're pregnant, the pink dye will make you know safely as they are much easier to read. Question: When I take the pregnancy test to the light, you can see a vertical line. What does that mean? Answer: It means that you are looking at the entry line, or the space where, if the test had been positive, the dye would have paired to give you a second line (colored). Because you can only see the line when you keep the test to the light, the test should not be considered positive. You're just looking at an indente who's always there. Question: I have a weak positive on a cheap, but negative FRER and Clearblue Digital. What's up, I'm pregnant or not? Answer: I don't know if you're pregnant. First, it is important to understand that sensitivity in different tests can vary a lot. Therefore, in "network equipment" for example, you might have a test that needs less pregnancy hormone than a digital test to turn positive. Of all different types of pregnancy tests at home, typically digital tests take a little more pregnancy hormone to say "pregnant" that the rest of the tests need to show a second line. This means that if you are very newly pregnant, the Internet company probably detected your pregnancy before your digital tests were able to. Give him a few days (I know it's difficult) and try again. If you are pregnant, your hormones will double every two days, they will be strengthened and strengthened so that your test line darkens. If he does, go ahead and try another digital until you get that glorious "pregnant"! If the second line is not darkened or does not appear at all, you may be dealing with a funky line on a test less than star. I hate to get rid of the cheap Internet because I know many women swearing for them, but it's the only evidence I've personally received false positives in, confirmed by more expensive tests and well, not being pregnant. Question: My clarity The blue test line is not as dark as the control line, but almost, and is definitely very blue non-grey. Could you be pregnant even if the digital says "No Pregnant"? Answer: If you haven't done so, try a regular pregnancy test that you interpret with lines. Because digital sensitivity is higher than the tests of two early result lines, it is possible that the inside of your digital test will look positive because you are pregnant, but you still do not have enough pregnancy hormone to make that test actually say "pregnant". Question: My Clearblue Digital said I was pregnant, but when I took four more tests, they were all negative. I smashed my digital and there were no blue lines in the test strip. Could a defective test cause this? Answer: Oh no, that's terrible! Yeah, a defective test could cause this, but that's very frustrating. I figure at this point you've done more tests to confirm whether you're pregnant or not. It is possible that the other four tests you did gave you a false negative due to the user's error. If you decide to take further tests, make sure you follow the instructions and try urine that is in a clean and sterile cup instead of urinating directly into the test. This helps ensure that you are not oversaturating the test strip. Question: My pregnancy test shows a light and semi-weak line. It's ridiculous and it gives me hope for nothing. I'll never buy Clear Blue again. Why are the two lines not recorded as a positive result? Answer: I agree, the blue dye tests, in general, are extremely frustrating. If you use a Blue Clear (non-digital) test, a weak line doesn't necessarily mean you're pregnant. I know they'll say yes, but I've done blue dyes before I developed a second weak line and I wasn't pregnant. I'm going to assume this is what happens in the digital CB as well. Why exactly, I don't know, but the rumor is that this brand also collects other hormones in the body (in addition to pregnancy hormones) and that's why the second weak line appears even though you're not pregnant (and why they tell you NOT to turn away digital tests). Question: Is the tan thing inside a pregnancy test a pill? Answer: No, it's not. It is likely to be a moisture absorber and it would be dangerous to consume. Pregnancy tests react to the urine that is a liquid and can only have your reaction once. So it's important to keep the test free of any moisture before it's taken. Question: How soon can the digital test strip detect pregnancy before a lost period? Answer: This is so debated, honestly! From my own experience and research, digital pregnancy tests and their strips are not as sensitive as regular pregnancy tests. According to ClearBlue's website, it is more accurate on the day of the lost period, and it must be 99% accurate at that point. This is anecdotal and non-scientific, but in my birth groups, I have noticed that most women are not getting a digital positive before two days before their expected period, and many of them even have to wait until the day or later to get a "YES" in the digital test. Question: Can a positive Clearblue test be wrong? Answer: Digital Tests are quite difficult to interpret badly. If you have a digital test that says "pregnant" I would trust you to be pregnant. If you're not sure yet, take another one to see if you keep giving it the same answer. As for non-digital testing, they may sometimes seem positive when they are not, especially if they are blue tincture or are looking at the test hours after you have taken it as a evaporation line may occur at this point. Question: Can a ClearBlue Digital Give a False Positive? Answer: No, I really shouldn't. If you have a positive effect on a digital pregnancy test, then the chances that you are not pregnant are thin to none. However, if you have taken only a regular, simple ol' pink or blue dye test and have emerged negative while a digital is saying "positive" that is a bit suspicious. Similarly, if you have other digitals that upload "negative" but a random "positive" in another digital, then there may be a failure in the supposedly positive test. Or, the most likely scenario is that you are very early and get mixed results because pregnancy hormones have not built properly in your body yet. Give him two more days and try again with another digital to confirm. If the digital is positive and you have a lot of other positive tests too, then wake up, you're pregnant! Question: My period is seven days late and I had a negative pregnancy test. Shouldn't it be enough time to show HCG if I was pregnant? Answer: Yes, it should be enough time for most women. Please note that digital tests are not as sensitive as regular pregnancy tests (which you have just read for how many lines are present). If all you've taken so far are digital evidence, I'd try a regular test instead and if that's also negative you're probably just dealing with a late period or a month where you didn't ovulate. If you keep losing your period, let your doctor know, sometimes they'll give you a chance to start your cycle, especially if you're trying to conceive. Question: I took a clear blue digital and had a positive, but then the error book appeared. I took a couple more and they were negative. So I removed them and the positive showed a fairly obvious test line and a weak control line. One of the negatives had a weak test line and an obvious control line. Is it possible she's still pregnant? Answer: It's possible, but I wouldn't trust digitals. Sounds like you got a bad test box. To be sure, take a regular pregnancy test box. I always suggest First Response Early Response simply because they are easy to read and the pink dye is much easier to interpret than the blue dye tests. Try these and trust that result. Remember, digital tests need a lot more HCG to appear positive than regular pregnancy tests do so it might be that it's not far enough from a digital test to pick up the pregnancy yet. © 2018 Kierstin GunsbergKaayah Comments on July 25, 2020:Loilrd Verónica Velázquez on July 23, 2020:I have other exams that are super fake positives. And I took a digital and it went Negative.. He took it apart and the second line is remarkable.. It's not as strong as the test line but you can see without a wisdom..I have an appointment this afternoon.. Let's hope we're waiting! Melissa on April 07, 2020: I took a digital on the day of my lost period and had a "non-pregnant"Open the package and I saw about 2 very clear lines. I took a pink eye test from the dollar store and gave me a weak positive. He took more in the course of the next two days and got very clear positives. There are ladies of hope and I send you love! Hailey on June 04, 2019: I've taken 4 tests of digital light blue and all of them have line that keeps progressing They're telling me that I'm crazy about my boyfriends parents Do you think I am? Lindsay on June 02, 2019: Thank you for this post! I've been here a few days after I stopped breastfeeding and I stayed with this digital from my last pregnancy. I opened it but the fuse came out of the test with the packaging. Feeling decided I opened it. Dive into the fuse and then applied it to the same place in the test strip where it sat when it was intact and booming. Positive. 2 equal blue lines. I am on the moon when our first child came after a tiring journey and full of tears of infertility. Kierstin Gunsberg (author) from Traverse City, Michigan on March 18, 2019: Ashley, that's a bummer but I know what you mean, the OB in my area is hard to get in too, especially if you're alone in your first quarter. Ashley Steele on March 13, 2019: Spread it for the digital there is usually a 3-month waiting period for a blood test here and until you can get it or test positive on their sticks that are not sensitized at all that you can't get into an OB around hereKierstin Gunsberg (author) from Traverse City, Michigan on March 12, 2019: Ashley, that sounds miserable and definitely a few positive color in the morning. Sometimes it takes a long time for digitals to register. Do you think you're gonna go do a blood test or just wait for the digital? Ashley Steele on March 12, 2019: I'm fine with how people are in the center of babies and when you google. Fortunately, I'm separated from a group and hug the madmen. I accepted my inner madness today and destroyed a digital test because I wanted answers. I'm 8 days late. I've had 3 First response have very weak pink lines but my digital said negative so curious that I wanted to see what it was like. There are 2 lines there, obviously, but your two pretty clear your only second could be too weak to register. Compared to some people who tested while they were pregnant. There were also negatives and took a few weeks to register in their evidence. I don't usually shit on these things, but I'm naseous all the time, but I'm also stupid hungry. I wake up, I'm naseous, I cook the smells make me nauseous, I eat the most delicious things I've ever tasted but I still don't know. Unfortunately, I can't vomit because of surgery in the early 20s what goes up has to go down and I've been noticeing an increase in my "vomiting" at night. Digital testing, if not taken exactly as instructed, may appear with the small book. If she'd lost her period then I'd worry, but it looks like you just bought a defective test. Anonymous on October 15, 2018: My girlfriend started her period three days ago. Yesterday he stopped at 1:11 PM, and then started again at 5 PM. We bought the pregnancy test an hour ago, and said she wasn't pregnant for a second, and was very weak, with the brochure appearing later (which she said could be a mistake. Now we're waiting until she takes the other test (simple), I'm very scared. Does it mean she's pregnant or not? We always use condoms, she's in birth control, and I come out before we come when we have sex. Please respond to this ASAP, I'm 17 years old and I don't want this to ruin my life. Kierstin Gunsberg (author) from Traverse City, Michigan on October 7, 2018: Ashley, I'm sorry to hear about your abortion. Thanks for coming back and updating. I know that for other women investigating these things, it is useful to know that they are not alone. Ashley on October 06, 2018: I wanted to give you an update not so useful in my previous post of 2 weeks ago. I came a week and a half late for my period and missed two days ago. No other test showed an obvious pink line so that the semi-matile blue lines I saw in my Clearblue test may or may not have picked up on early HCG levels before abortion. I feel that my experience has not provided clarity to anyone. I just wanted to update because I said I would. HopefulSoul93 on September 30, 2018:Ok. So my man and I are trying. We definitely tempered the ovulation. My expected period is in three days. Three days ago I took a clear blue Digi like the one you show here, and it was negative. So I decided to separate it to see the strip.(and I was curious about what difference in this that a reg test inside) and definitely seemed negative. A line. Well, today I took one, and he still said negative, but I opened it pretty well imediatley and there were two lines. Can I assume low levels and wait for it? I really want to buy a non-Digi to see what it says but I have had so many false positives, (as rare as they are) it has happened to me a few times. Maybe they've been evap lines back then, but it didn't seem like that and they showed up immediately. Normally evap lines have a gray color. This whole thing didn't do it. Anyway. This test I took today has me questioning if I am now cuz I was convinced that I was not. But my nipples are sinking and I feel a little like I did the last time I was preggers. (Have an abortion Nov.16 2017) so I'm already a mess all over and my nerves won't stop. I just want to know! I hate this waiting game. When I got pregnant before I kept thinking it was Gunna getting my period because I had light cramps, which I kind of have now and have for 2 days, but it's so light and it doesn't feel menstrual. But both are so similar that it's hard to say. I just want a tip and an entry. Thanks : ) Kierstin Gunsberg (author) from Traverse City, Michigan on September 25, 2018: Ashley, there is nothing more annoying than feeling pregnant and not feeling like you're getting accurate results. I hope you get the answer you're looking for and you'll definitely update again. These "updates" can be really useful for other women on the same boat. Ashley on September 24, 2018: I just wanted to thank you for doing this post! It is good to see a definitive negative and a definitive positive in these tests. I just ordered Amazon mine that I'm already aware of is a commitment to legitimacy. I have been suspicious that I am pregnant for a week and a half now ("that" feeling, potential implant bleeding, nausea, pained breasts, abnormal cramps, incredibly tired). However, all the tests have appeared negative (I knew I took them too soon - a few days after the potential implantation bleeding). Today I did a Clearblue digital exam with morning urine and said she wasn't pregnant. I opened it and two lines appeared, the test line being semi-faint but definitely there. I took another exam (even obviously diluted, almost clear urine) and got another non-pregnant. Again, I opened the test and the line of control at the night urine test was very weak, though still visible. I was waiting for my period last night but he didn't come. I've decided that if my period doesn't come until the end of the week, I'll go to the doctor to do a blood test. I'll update once I have more information! Joanna Harrod on July 28, 2018: Seeing what happened was that I had a period on this 7th of this month and lasted until the 11th of agreement that I stopped bleeding from 12 to 14 and on the 14th of the night I had a very light bleeding that night after that night I bleeding more but the other day I was sitting on the couch with my legs up against my stomach and started to cagarme in my left lower abdomen so it was like something pregnant.
